Savvy Sojourns   is on to another beautiful destination! I give you one of my favorite cities in the Visayas region - Cebu City.

The Queen City of the South won't be called a queen for nothing. Though Manila is the central city in the whole archipelago, Cebu City is definitely at par.

Cebu City is quite memorable for me. A couple of years back, this is the first locale I travelled via plane ride. I have avoided far distances, particularly those where I have to board an aircraft, but my first flight went well and made even better that I landed in the province of Cebu, then headed to Cebu City.

What makes it special? Convenience and accessibility. Fuente Osmena is one area that I will never forget. It connects to the four major streets which branches out to many discoveries. This famous circle practically has everything you need - from restaurants, pasalubong shops, hotels, malls, bookstores, banks - name it! I can just turn around and I will find what I need.

You're saying, we have that in Manila. Yes! Absolutely! But what's even better is the proximity to nearby leisure getaways - Mactan Island is filled with beautiful beaches. Want to turn back time? Carcar City is just an hour and a half away. Want to go somewhere secluded? Malapascua Island, Bantayan Island and Camotes Island are all paradise to the senses.

Allow me to present to you one of my favorite cities, Cebu City.
